The Aquarian Profile It was Alice Bailey, scribal mediator to the Master DK, who first used the term,' New Age. ' The concept must have seemed utterly impossible if not somewhat ludicrous when she was writing in the dark days of the last century. Yet so many of the things she wrote about have come realities , so it is to her words that we look for inspiration in considering Aquarian characteristics both personal and social. What is an Aquarian Mystery School? An Aquarian Mystery School is founded upon the Aquarian characteristics of communication and brotherhood, perhaps better expressed as a growing sense of the family of humanity. The means of communication have changed in a way that AB., could not have guessed at. Nevertheless I am sure she would be delighted by the global possibilities offered through the Internet. This new power of communication is directly reshaping the world, globalization is here, and though something of a mixed blessing, it is but yet in its infancy. Communication and its globalizing effect is bringing the family of humanity into being; coping with the Tsunami through the medium of global communication remains a new experience which unified the world in a way that little else has done. Any Mystery School must redefine itself for the age in which it is found while remaining faithful to its basic principles. Set within the context to the 21st century, the clarion call ‘Know Thyself’ still holds true. This Mystery School chooses to found itself upon Aquarian principles while remaining faithful to the work of the Mysteries and the nature and purpose of a Mystery School. Our presence is in alignment with the development envisaged by Alice Bailey; ‘There may emerge certain esoteric groups and schools for development in order to rapidly equip them for world service in these schools modes of meditation, the intensification of vibration and laws of the universe will be taught.’ Alice Bailey also wrote that, 'The stated purpose of the school is aligned to ‘the idea of service and the uplift of humanity.’ In keeping with the Aquarian spirit, we ‘have no time to play around with group names and insignia and badges and the technicalities of fraternities.' Such devices had a purpose in the past but that time is over. This is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius. Do you fit the Aquarian Profile? Today in the world another great moment of crisis has arrived. I refer not to the present world condition but to the state of human consciousness. They will impose no enforced dogmas of any kind and will lay no emphasis on doctrines or authorities. 2. They are not interested in having any personnel authority nor do they rest back upon traditional authority whether religious scientific cultural or any other form of imposed truth. 3. They are being gathered out of every nation by the power of their responses to the spiritual opportunity tide and note. 4. They are emerging out of every group and church and party and will therefore be truly representative. 5. They do not act from the pull of their own ambition but through the very selflessness of their service. 6. They are finding their way to the top in every department of humanity, not because of the clamor they make about their own ideas discoveries and theories but because they are so inclusive in their outlook and so wide in their interpretation of truth that they see the hand of God in all happenings. 7. They are of all races. 8. They speak all languages. 9. They embrace all religion, all sciences, all philosophies. 10. Their characteristics are that they own no creed save the brotherhood based on the one life. 11. They recognize no authority save that of their own soul and no master save the group they seek to serve and humanity whom they deeply love. 12. They have no barriers set up around themselves but are governed by a wide tolerance and a sane mentality and a sense of proportion. 13. They recognize their peers as equals and know each other when they meet and stand shoulder to shoulder with their fellow workers in the work of salvaging humanity. 14. They see their group members in all fields political, scientific, religious, and economic, and give to them the sign of recognition ands the hand of a brother.
