Recommended Reading TThese days it is impossible to provide a definitive reading list, new books are coming out all the time. Nevertheless there is value in highlighting authors of significance - readers, as well as authors, are much at the mercy of the publishing industry which like any other profit driven organization is subject to economic criteria. Good books still sadly pass out of print only too quickly. See Rant of the Day in Articles for some interesting insights into the mind of the publishing Industry. DF’s own prescription, for a good occult student included, having a sound general knowledge of natural science, history, mathematics and philosophy, a working knowledge of anthroplogy, archaeology, folk–lore, the findings of comparative religion, a general knowledge of physiology so that the relationship between mind and body can be understood and the new physics which explains the substratum of the manifest universe. As I aggree with her view, I can only encourage all students to read as widely as possible. Nomandie Ellis - a contemporary writer, she is an ex-student of Jean Houston's.
Jean Houston - a contemporary writer and expert psycho-spiritual practitioner.Several of her books are guides for practical group work.
Rosemary Clark - another contemporary writer with a keen insight and broad understanding of Egyptian spirituality.
R.A. Schwaller de Lubicz - the man who rediscivered the essence of the Egyptian mindest ( not always and easy read however)

Arthur Versluis - His books provide a valuable antidote to the HOW-TO workbook. The profound view he expresses reminds us that the current rush to trivilialisation, seen so often in print, serves no-one but publishers !!
